Jorge Talamantes, Professor of Physics at CSUB, will present his research on the connections between valley fever and climate fluctuations.
Dr. Talamantes received his BA from the University of California, San Diego, and his MS and PhD from the University California, Riverside. He has been with CSUB since 1990. His research has focused primarily on interactions between electrons and more recently on how climate influences the incidence of valley fever. He is a referee for several organizations and journals, and he received the Faculty Research Award at CSUB.
