What year did you first learn to ski or snowboard ?

My first ski lesson was a painful one. At the tender age of 19 I faced the mountain, headed down without any prior guidance and promptly went loop d' loop.

Favorite Resort? Next planned Ski Trip?

Love the view from the top of Heavenly. Great view at Lake Louise too. It's not only about the trip down, it's also about being close to heaven at the top. Something magic about sky, snow and lake. Looking forward to a group trip this season.

a. What brand/model (ski or board) are you currently riding? b. What were your very first skis/board?

I use rental shaped skis from the resort. "Schleping the boards" is not part of my vocabulary. The western and European resorts have very good ski rentals.

Skill Level? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Ski Patroller)

I am well established at the intermediate level and avoid bumps - steep groomed is ok. As my skill improved, my knees didn't. So, my ski practice lately is how to take brutal tumbles without the slightest hint of injury. See below!

What was your most epic ski experience? Include for example: the year, location, conditions,

Double Diamond at Heavenly. Skull and Crossbones sign should have been a warning. Instead it was a great photo op!! Last run after charging all morning, knees like rubber bands. Start down, tips cross, a huge yard sale of equipment everywhere!!!

Hi, I like skiing and like ski trips. I'm looking forward to meeting others with the same passion and learning about group trip opportunities. Boarding - I'd like to learn. My experience is all on two boards. It's never too late!!!

What Keith is saying about this Meetup Group

I'm enjoying everything about the club that I have encountered so far. Chris the organizer has some terrific ideas about affordable ski trips and is a very affable person. A very good leader for an enjoyable pastime. I would like to see more participation from the members, at the meetups. They are a great social event, and not a stuffy meeting. See you at the next meetup.
