This is the official Meetup group for the SME Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Chapter. We are an all-volunteer, member-based group which seeks to serve all engineering/manufacturing students and professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with value-added events such as factory tours, training events and collaborative opportunities.
While there will always be room for traditional manufacturing expertise, we also recognize that the industry is rapidly changing - additive manufacturing, next generation materials, IIoT, data analytics, smart robotics, machine vision and AI are here to stay and are producing real value for companies. We strive to help students and professionals take the next step in understanding and applying these future skill sets.
