Ireland's oldest city!
For those travelling by train we will meet at The Butlers Chocolates stand in Heuston Station
at 09:45 and take the 10.15 train to Waterford.
For anyone taking the bus you should take the 9am bus.
If Bus Eireann are still on strike JJ Kavanaghs bus company also have buses from Dublin to Waterford.
We will meet the bus arrivals at Waterford bus station at 12.30 I will wait for you in beside the shop inside the station.
Our first port of call will be the Waterford City market which will hopefully offer us some good food on the move.
If this is a washout we will visit The Theatre Royal for coffee & a snack
Next, I plan to take The Waterford Crystal Factory Tour as that is something unique to Waterford. The tour costs €12.60 and lasts around 1.5 hours.
If you're not interested in doing the factory tour it is quite close to some of the city's other attractions so we can co-ordinate meeting up afterwards.
There is a guy who runs a walking tour who is meant to be quite good if you prefer that alternative http://www.jackswalkingtours.com/tourinfo.html
Or you can just meander through the city - whatever suits : )
After the Crystal Factory we can visit The Medieval Museum & The Bishop's Palace.
When we're finished there we should have some time to explore the city centre before grabbing another quick bite and getting our respective trains / buses.
Any questions or suggestions let me know in the comments.
