FATHERs DAY Scituate SPIT, kayak beach and picnic.

Most popular kayak trip last year! BE IN WATER @ 11:15 ready to go.

Great spot! Park across street from GOLF course. We will ride tide out to Spit, spend day on beach while tide turns and then ride back to take out.

Be sure to pack lunch, drinks, sun screen and bathing suits. (we will do this again during the summer).

Rentals can be had at in Marshfield at Buckle and boards at rte 139, just off exit 12 (about 20 minutes away from put in).

Glad I finally got to go to one of these trips. The SPIT is gorgeous. Thanks so much for organizing Rich. It was nice to meet everyone. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Do you know the timing of the whole day? I may have a conflict but I'm trying to figure if I can do both.

Hi Betsy, we usually spend several hours on the Spit, but people are free to leave whenever they like. I know low tide is around noon. Once the tide starts coming in (I think around 12:30-1:00) it is easy to head back to your car.

Rich, what time do you think you'll be heading back in?? I've been wanting to do this trip since last year, but my schedule hasn't matched up yet. Thanks!

Hey Joan. I know u put ur kayak in ur car also. I just stopped short yesterday and my kayak smashed my windshield and cracked it. It could've been a lot worse. So make sure it is secured in there.

Thanks Betsy. I actually have the "J" bar racks now, so I won't be putting my kayak in my car anymore.

Can't wait. Just bought an old town loon 120. Hope it's easier than my ocean state beast.
