Socrates Cafe This Sunday - A new twist

From: Dr. Norman R. W.
Sent on: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 2:55 PM

Dear fellow seekers after truth

We will begin our time together at 2:30 PM by listening for 30 minutes a lecture by Professor Lawrence M. Principe, professor of History of Science and Technology and Professor of Chemistry at John Hopkins University, on the topic:

Church, Copernicus, and Galileo

We will then spend from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm in an open discussion of Dr. Principe lecture.

At 3:30 PM we will move into our general meeting.

For this meeting only we will be changing our format and have an open question and answer time in which members can ask me any questions they want and I will attempt to give my response to the questions asked.  My answers then may lead to other discussion.  We will ask that questions be written down and submitted.  If the an e-mail is included with the question then I will send a more in-depth answer to those questions.  I hope that this change in format might be fun and interesting to everyone. We will return to our normal format next month.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at 2:30 PM

For Truth,

Dr. Norm
