Lets read...The Brutal Truth
Hello book lovers! Let’s read and discuss – The Brutal Truth, by Lee Winter. Australian crime reporter Maddie Grey is out of her depth in New York, miserable, and secretly drawn to her powerful, twice-married, media mogul boss, Elena Bartell, who eats failing newspapers for breakfast. As work takes them to Australia, Maddie is goaded into a brief, seemingly harmless bet with her enigmatic boss—where they have to tell the complete truth to each other. It backfires catastrophically. A lesbian romance about the lies we tell ourselves.
· 360 pages. (11 hours and 42 minutes on audio.) Plan accordingly.

NOTES FOR MEETING
Please be prompt, at 7 pm Pacific, and plan to stay until we close out as a group or at 8:30 pm Pacific. We open with a short icebreaker within a few minutes of the start time, which is great for getting to know one another better. Arriving late or leaving early “individually” can distract the group discussion, so arriving on time and staying until 8:30 pm Pacific, is appreciated. We do occasionally stay later but if you need to bow out then, no worries. And…we could finish early. (Early has not happened, but I am just saying it could. Lol.)
* It is a social event so please have your video ON. It is also for transparency and peace of mind for all our members in this Zoom world.
WHERE: Zoom - Attendees will receive a private link and password on the day of the event. I will post a comment when I have sent it. Please do not share or post the link or your password.
Make sure your Meet Up notification setting for email is on for this group. (If you saw this book discussion announced via email, your setting is on. ;))
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your sweet self, any notes that you may want to share, and your favorite beverage. :)
- YES RSVPs, if you can't make it, please take a moment to change your RSVP to NOT GOING asap. It is just a courteous thing to do. :)
** If you are new to zoom, watch this video. Make sure to watch the video to the end. (A little over 5 minutes.) A senior does a great job of showing the various items you will want to know about. It is easy! Really. https://youtu.be/kh50kVaIdAY
