Help Clear Last of Trails, Saturday, Dec. 8

Help Clear Last of Trails, Saturday, Dec. 8

Five weeks of unprecented work by the Chain Saw Gang and numerous community volunteers have left us with just a few trails and some bothersome spots to clear our trail system. We had help last week from the JORBA volunteers who believe in open sustainable trails. The West Ridge Trail above South Orange Avenue remains blocked in several sections. That is our next challenge.

To clear this trail, volunteers over 15 years of age with loppers, bow saws, and especially chain saws are urged to come out:

Saturday, Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Oakdale Parking Lot, off Cherry Lane a quarter mile south of Northfield Avenue. (There is a 30 percent chance of rain, so call Dennis Percher at [masked], if there are concerns about cancellation.)questions.)
