What equipment do you own?

Olympus OM-1 SLR, Canon Powershot A550, Canon 40D, Nikon SLR (older model)

What type of photography do you enjoy most (nature, street-life, studio, landscape, etc)?

I have done nature, street life and other landscape however I need more practice in studio and portraits.

How long have you been doing photography? All levels are welcome.

I started when I was twelve and had a strong interest at art school where photography was my minor. In recent years have been doing more Photoshop and other computer graphics but desire to get more involved in photography after I purchase my Canon 40D. Also I see knowing photography and owning a semi or professional digital SLR as an important tool in my career as a graphic artist.

What should we do at meetups? (free forum disscusion, contests, review and critique our own work, organize photo trips, etc.)? Please provide as much feedback as you can.

The photo trips sounds very exciting especially if the group can get a good discount for an extended trip. Participating by attending art and/or photo openings e.g. at First Friday in Philly would also be a fun, social and cultural activity. Perhaps we can get models or famous individuals to pose for us. Another plus would be able to get "press" seating at special events. Perhaps professionals in the group can give workshops on lighting and lenses, etc. and how to break into the pro photography business.

What type of computer software and computer do you use?

I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 on my home PC. However at work I have used a Mac using the same applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash etc.). We also own a PC based laptop.

I have been interested in photography since I was twelve years old. I own a Canon 40D with a few lenses. Definitely need practice!
