I love this idea. I would be completely interested in new "homework assignments."

Subject: [SJ-PhotoGroup] Thoughts for a meetup

There is a book called, Light, Science & Magic, which is one of the fundamental books on Lighting for photography.  Throughout the book, they have diagrams, projects and more, and encourage users to go through the examples and gain a full understanding of the concepts within the book.  Before anyone thinks this is a book on studio lighting, you would be mistaken.  This is a book on light, and how it reacts to surfaces, direction, and more.  This is about light, period.

I wanted to gauge an interest from members of the group who may be interested in learning about light, going through the chapters, and doing the projects within to help gain a better understanding of the processes, and learn how to work with all types of light and surfaces.

There is a new edition (4th) that we would be using in the group if this is something that we would like to do.

Thank you,
