Thursday morning walk around Tacoma's Point Defiance Park

Details
Come walk with us! A cool, shady walk through Point Defiance Park. Pass gardens, Fort Nisqually, views of Puget Sound, and the Narrows Bridge. The walk is 11K (6.8 mile) but there is a 5K (3.1 mile) option. The course is rather hilly and is mostly on pavement, but there are some dirt paths. This walk is difficult for strollers and wheelchairs. Well-behaved, leashed dogs welcome with owner clean up.
This walk is hosted by the Capitol Volkssport Club, but the walk is owned by a different walking club that charges a fee of $3 for this walk. Cash only. Everyone is welcome, but everyone must pay the fee and sign the waiver to participate. Club members do not usually sign up using Meetup, but you can expect between five and 10 club members on a Thursday walk.
