Neighborhood Question

From: user 8.
Sent on: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 11:19 AM
I am looking for information on the best way to implement neighborhoods on my new website, Fido Factor.? We launched three weeks ago for San Francisco and populated our neighborhoods manually.? We are now expanding nationally and need to figure out how to automate this process.? We have tried both the Google and Urban Mapping neighborhood data but have found that there are some random, incorrect, or unused neighborhood names.? For example, in Google Buena Vista Park and Dolores Park are listed as their own neighborhoods.?

Basically when a user enters a new location we want to determine the neighborhood based on the address or coordinates we add later.? We also want a corresponding full neighborhood listing for the city landing page.?

Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to populate & validate this information for new cities, especially ones we are unfamiliar with??
