Ukulele Open Mic At the Wai

This is our regular monthly strumalong plus open mic. Everyone is welcome, even if you don't plan to perform during the open mic. But do consider it; there is no better crowd to perform in front of for your first time out.

The schedule will be as follows:

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Strum-along
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Open mic

If you're planning on eating, consider arriving before 2:00, so we can get started promptly at 2:00. There is no requirement to buy any of Paul's wonderful food or drink, but please do remember that he lets us meet there for free, and his food is wonderful.

As far as eating goes, arriving a bit early is a good thing. I try to get there around 1:45, but there are usually a few folks there at 1:30. As for the books, we just call out numbers and play; there's nothing assigned. You should be able to share with someone, so don't worry about not having your own yet.

Those who eat, what time do you arrive? 1? 1:30?

I don't have the book yet, but would like to prepare by studying ahead of time. Do you play the song that the book assigns that day? I mean, can I predict which songs we play based on the date?

I'm going to miss this next meeting but will try the following. For a first timer any favorite songs played at the Strum-along?

We use the Daily Ukulele and the Daily Ukulele Leap Year Edition, both of which can be purchased on Amazon.com. Hope you can join us next time.

Likewise, Ed. I'll just note that the first Daily Ukulele is also available as a kindle file.

If I'm back from an art retreat in time, I'll come play. Thanks!
