Tell everyone a little about yourself.

At heart, I'm a product developer and love to innovate new ways of doing things - whether its how we communicate, get things done, or how we raise finance to get stuff off the ground. I've led engineering & product management/strategy teams, managed complex release/delivery processes for widely used, enterprise-scale software products and worked at the senior levels of Oracle's product development organisation. Prior to that I have built and delivered products in the collaboration/workflow and multimedia categories, both for large companies (e.g. Borland) and successful startups.

Are you currently running a tech company or looking to form one? Tell us about that!

Yep - just helped get a new biotech venture off the ground (completed seed round) and now supporting a couple of early stage startups - with direction, investment and some hands on coding (IOS/Java).

Which tech companies have you been involved with in the past?

I've worked for Borland and Oracle and was involved with the product and team integration of acquired companies including Hyperion, Siebel, Weblogic, Collabra, Endeca, Sun, Peoplesoft. Also worked closely with industry analysts (e.g. Gartner, IDC, Forrester), partners (e.g. Accenture, Cap Gemini and many smaller BI specialists) and customers (particularly across Finance, Public Sector, Telco/Media, Retail). .

Introduction

Software developer, startup mentor, investor and founder. Spent 25+ years building enterprise software products (Cloud Lifecycle, Business Intelligence, Workflow, Communications, Digital Media) for Oracle, Borland & others in UK, EU & US.
