Los invito a hacer caminata en la montaña y ver el atardecer y la luna llena! Este evento esta anunciado con otros grupos entonces va a haber mucha gente y diversion, el año pasado que hicimos esto se puso buenisimo. Detalles en el resto del mensaje.
Come join all of my very best friends at the top of Rattlesnake Ridge (45min light to moderate hike)...then a wonderful view and moonrise:)
What: Hike Rattlesnake Ridge (pubic trail & well identified)
When: May 15th, 2014 (weekday for those who work!), moonrise @ 8:40pm and be 100% illuminated. The sunset sets 5 minutes later at 8:45 pm.
Party: At the top, let's meet there. I usually stay for 1-2hr after moonrise
You won't find better views anywhere else this close to Seattle. Rattlesnake Ledge is a monolithic block of rock on the eastern end of Rattlesnake Ridge, towering high over the cool waters of Rattlesnake Lake and the Snoqualmie River valley.
Where: See link
Take I-90 east and get off on Exit 32 (436th Avenue SE) just past the exits to North Bend. Take a right off of the exit, heading south on 436th Ave SE which turns into Cedar Falls Road. Travel about three miles and follow the signs posted for Rattlesnake Lake.
Remember traffic can be tricky!
What do you need to know/bring:
DO NOT PARK IN CAMPGROUNDS. They lock the gate. Someone got stuck last month. Park outside the park (lot before campgrounds or on the street)
Hike with a friend, connect with someone:) Get a date or at least ask:)
Bring water, bring a light, bring a snack or lobster (you will want to eat)
Wear layers (could be cold and windy on top)...cotton kills! Bring wind resistance and warmth:) Hopefully weather is great.
I can't tell you to bring alcohol...I can tell you that I will be bringing something to share with a few.
You will need a headlamp or flashlight for the way down.
