With the instantaneous nature of our current world, it’s easy to forget to be intentional, to sit and to listen.

Spin Up Club is a time to sit, listen and be intentional. We will play long format vinyl LPs. No scratching, switching or streaming. We will pick music that was meant to be played in its entirety. We will listen to the entire LP. Over the course of the night, we will play 1-3 LPs or boxed sets.

You can order a beverage of your choice or a mezcal, tequila or wine flight (it’s canned wine, sorry wine snobs). If you sign up on our email list we'll give you 50% off your first drink.

Gather some friends, your favorite journal or notebook. Sit back, reflect and enjoy some good music. Be intentional with us!

FAQs
Is this a “hifi” thing or something?
Not really. We have a reasonable set up, but it’s not supposed to be an audiophile experience. That said, our speakers are going to be better than what you will usually experience unless you are into really high end gear. This isn’t about audiohile judgments either.

Is this like a silent disco or are we supposed to be quiet?
No, no one is going to scold anyone for talking. We’re about being social.

Is this like some listening bar or restaurant concepts where you have to be there exactly on time and eat in courses?
There is no strict time format or anything like that. There are no courses, just the regular menu at our venue. Come in when you can and enjoy. Order at your pace. We will start with the first LP at 6pm and play 1-3 albums in their entirety, or if it’s a long album or boxed set, perhaps that one set.

If I just want to listen and journal or reflect and not talk a lot, will that be fine?
Yes, if you want to make it more about sitting and listening, that’s fine. We will try to make sure you have space to do that.

Can members pick the music?
We are going to be letting members contribute albums to share with friends in the club. We will have nights where the group picks songs from various albums and we slow DJ the night according to the songs picked by everyone.

Is this about rare releases and stuff like that?
We will certainly play some rare albums, vintage originals and rarities. This isn’t focused on that, though. It’s just about setting aside some time to sit and listen to some good music and get off your phone and relax.
