Park at the front entrance of the school. We will cross over one main road then through a residential neighborhood and catch the trail there
This ride is labeled intermediate to more advanced because of length and speed.
Helmets and lights required it may be getting dark
You will travel approximately 12-15 mph.
No pace lines here, but we know people like to ride at different speeds. We sometimes break into two or three groups of riders traveling at the pace they enjoy. However, we start together, end together, and stop occasionally to regroup. Our philosophy is "No cyclist left behind". We designate one of the group organizers to ride "sweeper" in case a newer rider has trouble keeping up or anyone has mechanical difficulties.
We encourage you to join us on this and other rides, matching the ride difficulty and distance with your ability.
Helmets are required for all Spinoff rides. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a properly fitted bicycle helmet reduces the risk of head injury by as much as 85 percent and the risk of brain injury by as much as 88 percent.
