The Wonderland of Lights, Wine, and Cheese
Details
Each holiday season the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck hosts a unique festive event called The Wonderland of Lights: a drive-through montage of illuminated sculptures with themed music at each station. It's bright, colorful, and fun!
My home is 1 mile from the fairgrounds and from 5 to 10 PM my doors will be open for a very casual wine and cheese tasting, plus a vat of my harvest soup: beef-based and vegetable-dense. You won't leave hungry. Plenty of restaurants in town also if that suits you better.
I'll have an array of cheeses and crackers to nibble, and wine to sip, and you're welcome to bring your own picks to share...or leave behind, but that isn't necessary.
The fairgrounds light show starts at 5, and ends at 9:30, so you can start the evening at my place, or end up there after. Or both.
Parking at my complex requires guests to park away from the buildings and toward the center green, so thanks for doing that. Once parked, just follow the lights to my back entrance at 39B.
Tickets for the light festival are $32 per car, up to 8 people, so you can put some on your roof if they don't fit inside. Here's a link for tickets: https://thewonderlandoflights.ticketspice.com/the-wonderland-of-lights-dutchess-county-fairgrounds
Just a heads-up that Meetup has again downgraded their site so the mapping feature isn't working right. My address is 39B Village Green Rhinbeck. If the Omega Institute at 150 Lake Drive appears on your map--like it does mine--ignore it. That's no where near where I live.
Happy Holidays!
