We practice yoga postures with an emphasis on inner stillness and meditation. This is a wonderful class for relieving stress, growing in mindfulness, and restoring a sense of inner well-being. This yoga class is organized for adults.
It lasts around an hour and is beginner friendly. This is not like yoga at a fitness club - our focus is inward, we practice in silence and work with our minds as much as our bodies.
Sample postures that we practice: Down Dog, Forward Fold, Triangle, Warrior, Pigeon, Tree...
Suggested donation is $5-$10 per class. A donation box is placed in the back of the room near the mats. Donations support the continuation of the class. However if you are unable to donate, please come anyway.
We meet every Tuesday, 7-8 PM, at Arapaho United Methodist Church, Richardson, TX, N/E corner Arapaho/Coit. It's important that you enter in at the EAST side of the church, as all other doors are locked. There will be a door person to let you in.
We end the session with a short, interfaith spiritual talk and meditation/contemplation.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, if not we have some extras.
