The Spokane Secularists Meetup

We will start out with a half hour minute social period at 1 P.M., and then begin official business at 1:30.

We are always looking for people who would like to present new and interesting ideas at the meetings, so if you have something – or even just an idea of something – let us know!

If you have an item you'd like to get on the agenda, you can let me know by contacting me by using the "Contact Us" button in the sidebar on the Meetup site, or by e-mailing Thomas at [masked].

I will also be announcing special events in our members' lives. If you are celebrating a birthday, marriage, anniversary, graduation, or anything else, let me know by contacting me using the above information and I'll announce it at our monthly meeting.

Re: Social time at our S3 Meetup: I'm with Bryan Richards ... since there will be less/limited social time involved in our main meetup, then there is less an important reason for me to attend as well. Although I'm not attending this week because of work, his point/comment is a valid one because most meetup groups want and tend to have a reasonable (longer) socialization time because that "is" one of the vital components in most meetup groups. I have found this to be the case in many other groups I have researched/and or heard about, and have had the occasion to attend.

But you don't come to Jim's or any of the other social get-togethers we plan. I've never heard you voice any ideas for social time. So what's the big deal of a shorter once a month time?

Thomas, Because of my weird work schedules it can make it more difficult to stay after meetings (let alone even make the meetings - as you know). However, it is good to know that people are staying afterward and socializing. Hopefully I'll be able to attend some fine day - better yet - have another job that quits ruining my ability to socialize at S3 and in general! Thanks for your response. B ~
