  • Dracula meets Jack the Ripper (with Dacre Stoker)

    Special guest author Dacre Stoker - great-grandnephew of Bram Stoker - will be attending. Dracula was written in London by Bram Stoker in the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper/Whitechapel Killings of 1888. It's often been suggested some of the vampire novel was influenced by the murders. Join top Ripperologist Trevor Bond with very special guest Dacre Stoker - the great-grandnephew of Bram - to explore the Jack the Ripper killings on the streets of Whitechapel - with a focus on Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde and other gothic horrors the serial killings inspired. Afterwards we will finish up in a suitability spooky pub for a chat and a drink. Dracula meets Jack the Ripper will be a Ripper tour you've never been on before... Tickets are £10 - which must be booked and paid beforehand. Some tickets may be available on the day but they will be £15. We look forward to seeing you there.

    On the 130th anniversary of the final ‘Jack the Ripper’ murder (Mary Kelly), join us for Spooky Isles' special revealling walk through Whitechapel and Spitalfields. Our guide - Chronicle's Trevor N. Bond - will examine the 'Autumn of Terror' though the lives of the people involved. Trevor says the tour is not so much 'reclaim the streets' but a 'reclaim the story', as we will discover the truth about the people directly affected by the Jack the Ripper killings.     Best-selling author Dacre Stoker - the great-grandnephew of Dracula author Bram Stoker - is returning to the UK to promote his new book, the official sequel to the original novel, titled Dracul. Dacre will be doing an intimate talk/interview with Spooky London to discuss the new book and how his research lead him to determining the back story to the king of vampires. You will get the chance to ask Dacre questions. Books will be available to purchase and be signed. We are still arranging details of the night, so we will keep you informed.

    WARNING: Not suitable for children. Is Covent Garden directly connected to hell? Everyone knows the dangers of Covent Garden’s densely packed streets – the home of muggers, pickpockets and touts. Did you know the underground was haunted? Did you hear about the Poltergeist plaguing the Opera House? Had you heard about the Aldwych Holy Well or the inhuman thing that haunts Bram Stoker’s former theatre? Come with us to hear the stories of London Theatreland, where the actors are outnumbered by the dead. Walks will take up to 90 minutes and attendees should dress appropriately for the weather. Our guide will be noted ripperologist and author Chronicle's Trevor N. Bond, who will look at the various supernatural and peculiar features of the mystery that has endured for more than a century.
