About the Event:
The Signature Summer Smash 2025 is a semi-professional, club-level social badminton tournament open to men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles. Organised entirely by volunteers, this non-profit event is all about building a diverse, inclusive badminton community in Sutton. If you have no team partner, no worries! Register yourself as an individual and we'll match you with someone. Please read FAQs clearly regarding this.

Key Details:
Date: 12–13 July 2025
Venue: Carshalton Boys Sports College, Sutton SM52SE
Time: 4 hours per day (your group slot will be assigned)
Max: 32 teams (waitlist available). We are looking for 12 more.
Format: Group stage (12th July) + knockouts (13th July), up to 9 matches for finalists
Who Can Join: Ages 18+ only, individuals or teams, men’s/women’s/mixed. Any expertise level - it's an open tournament. No seperate categories.

Registration & Costs:
Fee: £40/team or £20/individual (£6 transaction fees)
Early Bird: All 12 SLOTS for EARLY BIRD REGISTRATIONS are SOLD.

What’s Included:
Use of premium Yonex feather shuttlecocks
Trophy prizes + fun awards
Professional event photography
Access to water, toilet facilities
One guest per player (age 10+; 2 total per team)

Important Rules:
Bring ID; we may verify age
Arrive at least 15–20 min early
Late by over 5 min = disqualified for that match
Respect venue, players, organisers, volunteers
Keep the event space clean (“garbage in, garbage out”)
No running on courts or interrupting matches

Volunteers:
Needed: 4 per hour (umpires, helpers)

Photos & Media:
Group + action photos provided on IG/FB
Opt-out requests must be made in writing before the event.

Prizes & Extras:
Trophies for top 4 + stylish team and fun awards
Possible cash prizes if sponsorships are secured
Bragging rights and community shoutouts
