We have a supper plan. 7 days and 7 nights (Sat to Sat in an appartment in the gorgeous and historical Cádiz city, right by the beach (Cortadura area if you'd like to Google Image it). A 2h/day - 5 day sailing course from Mon to Fri in the mornings (not too early though, we like to enjoy the evening and sleep well!) And lots of authentic and off the beaten path places and things to do on the times you're not sailing (I'm a local and will tell you all the secrets!)
This trip is a fantastic and unforgettable week in the wildest and best preserved coast in the south of Spain. The sailing is the reason we're going, but there will be other water and land sports, towns, beaches, eats, drinks... It'll be a real genuine experience and not the tourist visit! We take it easy and not follow any agenda, I suggest plans, you decide what tickles your interest more each day. Or you can just lay on the beach ... eaaaasy.
The courses are organized by levels so both for those who already have done previous sailing, as well as total beginners! Prices are cheap, climate is wonderful, food is awesome, beaches are great... Just the nicest getaway.

• People who have already done previous levels with us and wish to do the following level, or have prior experience sailing on their own.
THE CITY OF CÁDIZ. A BEACH AND HISTORY JEWEL
We're going to my hometown, one of the prettiest spots in coastal Spain: Cádiz, the oldest city in the western world 3.000 years of History! It's also the port where Columbus parted from on his 2nd and 3rd trips.
The old town is beautiful and very different from anything else in Spain, reminiscing of the 1700 and 1800's. A city built int eh middle of the ocean, watching the tall ships come back from the Americas form it's roof towers.
The beaches, all four of them, run along the lengh of the city: La Victoria, the main stretch, where all the beach bars and restaurants are located. Santa María del Mar (where the house is located), a round shallow beach that looks like a lagoon, perfect for a drink and dining, with beautiful sunsets and lots of surfers. Cortadura (where the apartment is located), a wild paradise, 200 m wide sandy beach to get lost among sand dunes and two of the coolest beach bars. Not even in August will you find too many people here. And La Caleta is a photographer's dream, in the old city, with its calm waters, little fishing dinghies, flanked by two castles, and the old white beach building where Halle Berry seduced James Bond on her orange bikini in Die Another Day :)
In Cádiz people are friendly, good humoured and witty, the city is so pretty and full of history, the beaches so wide and white, the water so clear, the food so yummy... you'll wanna stay there forever!
THE SAILING COURSE
We'll be doing a catamaran sailing course, from Monday to Friday, 2h per day :) The school is easily accesible by foot from the apartment
We'll be sharing an apartment with 4 bedrooms. 8 people maximum per trip!
WHAT TO DO APART FROM SAILING
After the sailing course, there's plenty to do... or nothing at all!
Lay on the beach, rent a windsurf, a kitesurf, a surfboard, a kayak or a paddle board. Play beach volley or just walk FOREVER until you realize you better turn around and come back (it goes on for 250km non stop)
One of the days it's very cool to go biking/ kayaking among the wetlands and away to a castle in the middle of the sea, it's a very cool thing to do
Or you can go snorkel, or scubadiving close by, there are many amazing spots full of underwater life...
ASK ME if you'd like to do any of this, I can get you good deals!!
At night, in Cádiz, the best is to eat in the shady plazas, have an early beer, go to an outdoor concert in the castle.... There are so many things...
The Cádiz province has an amazing array of wild beaches and towns : Sancti Petri, Roche, Conil, El Palmar, Barbate, Zahara de los Atunes, Caños de Meca, Zahora, Vejer, Bolonia, Tarifa... And the mountain towns inland, called 'Los pueblos blancos' like Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra or the very special Setenil de las Bodegas.
Write those names on Google images and let your jaw drop...
You can also hop in the bus/train and spend an evening checking out the bodegas in Jerez, the flamenco shows, the horses... just an hour away, guaranteed to be great.
