81 Vineyard Ave #1, Highland, NY
An introduction to KiCAD, the free, GPLd circuit board CAD program.
Learn the basics of KiCad: Capturing a schematic, making custom schematic components, routing a PCB, and making custom PCB components.
It is *strongly* recommended that all attending the class have a *recent* KICad build. Since KiCad only rarely releases full stable releases, a nightly build is recommended. The last release from a year ago can be used, but may be subtly different than what is used in the class.
Ubuntu users can use the nightly PPA at: https://launchpad.net/~adamwolf/+archive/kicad-testing-daily
Windows users can get nightly builds at: http://iut-tice.ujf-grenoble.fr/cao/
OSX users can get nightlies at: http://discuss.wayneandlayne.com/t/experimental-mac-build/17
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
