Technical Trail Skills Training

You are invited to join the Superior Hiking Trail Association, Border Route Trail Association, and all Minnesota and Wisconsin NCTA Chapters for a Technical Trail Skills training session to be held at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. The training will offer hands-on, in-the-field technical trail skills workshops, including:
- Rockwork with Willie Bittner of Great Lakes Trailbuilders
- Trail building
- Women’s trail building and maintenance
- Rock water crossings
- Use of Trail building tools / Hand saw safety / PPE 101
- Boardwalk/wet area crossings
- Trail maintenance – tread
- Trail maintenance – vegetation
- Trail maintenance – drainage
- Use of brush cutters & brush mowers / Using and maintaining motorized equipment
- Wilderness trail maintenance
Free camping and RV set-up in Spirit Mountain’s parking lot. (Hey, it’s free!)
Free food from dinner on Friday night through lunch on Sunday afternoon.
Time to socialize with fellow trail volunteers from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
