Stargazing this Thursday at 8:30 is cancelled.

Details
Unfortunately, the stargazing event scheduled for this Thursday, September 18, at 8:30 PM, following the Shapley Lecture, has been canceled. In fact, all future stargazing events are canceled until the college identifies a staff member to lead the volunteer team that hosts the monthly public event. Mr. Rick Francisco has been leading these events for quite a while, and we hope that his contract is renewed in time for future stargazing.
We trust this situation will be resolved, in which case I will be the first to communicate it to you.
On a second note, I hope to see you at 6:00 PM this Thursday, September 18, in Gullo II for the exciting conference by Dr. Miller on NEOs (Near-Earth Objects), which are asteroids or comets that might hit us one day. Hopefully, not so soon.
