Peter Sterling and Kayla Dewey of Vermont's Senate Economic Development Committee are holding a committee hearing at The Space On Main (174 Main Street, Bradford, VT) on Tuesday February 19th (9:15am to 12pm).
The tentative topic of the hearing is how the State of Vermont can spur rural economic growth by better promoting and supporting makerspaces and coworking spaces. They would like to hear from people around the state who are founders of spaces, users of spaces, and hosts in spaces.
They are working on putting an agenda together and would like a list of potential witnesses that would like to speak. The committee is interested in hearing witnesses’ "ideas for expansion of coworking spaces, downtown development, internet access in small rural towns, etc."
This is a public hearing, which is open to both those testifying as well as general public. In order to make sure everyone gets on the agenda who would like to speak, drop a note to Monique or add a comment below.
