    Join us on a 2 day Manatee experience in the beautiful clear waters of Chassahowitzka & Three Sisters Springs Watching these gracful amazing creatures in their natural habitat is a gift of nature that simplifies, relaxes and astonishes the senses. It's hard not to quiet oneself, and simply connect to this mermaid of peace. Alligators themselves, allow them to pass, in the spirit of nature's way. There are two hotels which have a few rooms available. Day 1, ~ Sunday - http://chassahowitzkaflorida.com/ We will be launching at Chassahowitzka River Campground around 11:00 A.M. at their ramp and paddling the Chassahowitzka River. Bring lunch or eat lunch before you arrive. Check in time at the hotels is at 3:00 After we check in we will enjoy the sunset on the deck at Macreas then dinner with friends. Day 2, Monday 2/25 Breakfast - Then we will paddle Three Sisters Springs. We will launch at The Crystal River Kayak Company (right down the street)~ ​​1422 Building B, SE U.S. Hwy 19 Crystal River, FL 34429 at 10:00 a.m. http://www.crystalriverkayakcompany.com/ These folks are great and I hope to get some insight of some off the beaten places for those who stay Monday night to explore on Tuesday. The launch fee is $7.00 Parking is limited, so pending how busy it is, we may need to carpool as much as possible, however it is Monday and I'm not expecting a big crowd. We will paddling to Three Sisters, Hunter and King Springs. We will be on the water until we get tired and come back. Lunch with friends after the paddle. I will be staying Monday night and doing a little exploring on Tuesday. I'm going to leave it open. Monday evening I will be chasing the sunset at the port hotel deck. Kayak Rentals~ We will not be offering kayak rentals for this trip, however the venues do offer kayak rentals. No charge for members. $ 15.00 charge for guest.     Join us on a crystal clear paddle down the Salt Springs Run. Manatees are in the spring run this time of year and are always a joy to watch. We will launch at Salt Springs Marina located at 25711 NE 134 Place Salt Springs, FL 32134 There is a $10.00 parking fee. We will hang out with the manatees and then paddle down the run and explore Brave Bear Creek. Then paddle back out to the run and paddle down about a mile or two then return. This is going to be big fun and a beautiful clear view of all the marine life above and underwater. No experience necessary. This is an easy paddle. We have kayaks or paddle boards available for rent at $40.00 FOR THE DAY. They must be prepaid by calling[masked]. They come equipped with paddle, dry bag and law required PFD and whistle. No Charge for members to you bring your own yak $15.00 charge for any and all guests. You can pay with a credit card by calling[masked], or you can bring exact change to the launch.Payment must be made before you launch.     Kayak St Augustine Tour ~ Silver River CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER! Join us for a Pictorial Paddle down the Sensational Silver River. Silver Springs is one of the largest artesian formations in the world, pumping about 550 million gallons of crystal-clear water daily. Silver Springs is the headwaters of the Silver River, the largest tributary on the Ocklawaha River, a part of the St. Johns River system. The natural beauty of Silver Springs has attracted visitors from around the country. Tours of the spring, in glass bottom boats began in the late 1870s. The Silver River boasts crystal clear water with abundant aquatic life and wild Rhesus Monkeys. We will launch at Silver Springs State Park. The main entrance is located on State Road 40 at 5656 E Silver Springs Blvd, Silver Springs, FL 34488 and meander down Fort King canoe trail and around Ross Allen Island, taking our time taking pictures and enjoying the day and the crystal clear water. We will paddle downstream to the next launch, which is about 2 miles, and have lunch. There is a porta potti. After lunch, we will continue downstream to the take out at Ray's wayside park. We will use the park shuttle to return to our cars. The shuttle price is $10.00 You may make your own arrangements for shuttle if prefere. Paddle Duration: About 4.5 hours with lunch.. We will be slowly drifting, paddling downstream, stopping along the way, viewing wildlife,(hopefully manatees) If you are in a hurry, THIS PADDLE IS NOT FOR YOU! Paddle Distance: About 5 miles. Downstream! Biginner friendly as long as you can sit in the kayak for the duration. 1 hour break for lunch to stretch your legs. Please Read Carefully!   • Kayak St Augustine Tours / A Morning on Deep Creek

    Join us for a backwater paddle on Deep Creek . The area is part of the St Johns River Management District and jointly owned by the state. The wetland/swamp is part of the St Johns River floodplain. This is a great paddle and a lot of fun! We can check out the new bridge over the creek which is part of the Florida rails to trails program. The old trestle is long gone. We welcome all skill levels. This will be a leisure paddle. If you're in a hurry, this is not for you. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! Rick Knowles will be heading up this paddle. We will arrive at 8:30 Launch Time - 9:00 Duration about 2.5 hrs Distance about 3 miles Cost is $10.00 for members and guests to bring your own kayaks.     Canceled due to weather! Join us for a three hour slow paced yak session on Six Mike Creek. This may be the last weekend of cooler weather as we head into the summer and the bugs. Six mile is a beutiful fresh water creek that runs off the St Johns River. The creek narrows and hammocks the further up the creek we go. Although we may not see them, as with all Florida freshwater waterways, there are gators. Just be sure and wash your hands good before you come....if you had fish for breakfast. Lunch follows - (optional) location to be announced. There is a $10.00 charge for all members and guest that bring their own equipment.
