Hi Yaker,

This is just a heads up for any one that may want to go. I know we have a meet up on Juniper with Rick on Sat. the 12th., however any that are not going may want to check this out or if you are...it is  going off on Sunday the 13th as well. I will be camping there and will be there for both days. You guys that are doing Juniper may want to get a room in Silver Springs and enjoy the Sat. evening and Sunday? I will be paddling half the river Sunday morning.

Just a thought?

Below go the info!

YAK ON!

2016 Ocali Country Days - Museum Area Silver Springs State Park

Saturday, November 12 & 13 2016
9:00am to 4:00pm

Ocali Country Days started in 1995 as a fundraiser for the Silver River Museum and Environmental Education Center and has become a very popular annual event. The first three days of the festival are open to school groups only and the public is invited on the weekend.

Visitors experience old time music, storytellers, and historical re-enactors portraying North Central Florida during the 1800's. Traditional crafts such as sugarcane syrup making, blacksmithing, quilting, spinning, woodworking, and more are demonstrated. Vendors also offer unique crafts and food for sale.

While here, visitors may tour the Silver River Museum, ride on a jeep tram through the state park, tour a Civil War encampment, or meet Seminole Tribal members to learn about Native American culture in Florida.

All proceeds benefit educational programs at the Silver River Museum and Environmental Education Center.
