St. Louis WordPress Meetup Update

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to take a moment to clarify what's been going on the past few weeks and where things currently stand with the St. Louis WordPress Meetup.

As some of you are aware, we moved to McKinney, TX last week (the day after WordCamp). It's about 30-40 minutes north of Dallas. This was a quick decision and one that was made after putting the very first WordCamp St. Louis on the schedule. I believe the exact date was July 10th. We planned our move and prepared for it while planning WordCamp St. Louis (which was absolutely crazy!). I had planned to make an announcement at our Starbucks meetup in July but my son had a severe allergic reaction that I needed to deal with which forced me to leave early.

At WordCamp St. Louis (well, at the speaker/sponsor dinner to be exact), I met Brandon Dempsey, a founding partner of goBRANDgo! which is an integrated targeted marketing firm in STL. Brandon was excited to learn about our Meetup group and was even more excited at the possibility of hosting the meetups at their fabulous office. Knowing how tough it has been to find a great central location, Brandon's team will be running and hosting the Meetup moving forward. If you have questions or topics for future Meetups - Brian Dooley will be your go-to guy - just hit him up using the Contact the Organizer link on the Meetup website.

As for me, I will be back in town from time-to-time (I still own a home in Florissant) and of course will be blogging it up on my personal website - - so make sure to keep in touch there and follow my adventures in Texas and around the world. I've posted some pictures and video from WordCamp San Francisco, which was totally awesome. And as always, if you need any WordPress development or user experience design - we're always looking for awesome projects, so give me a call.
