What we’re about
Inspired by hosting the Stockholm Data Science Meetup we also facilitate a corresponding local community for Data Engineers. This group will mix informal networking, expert knowledge sharing, inspirational cases. We also have a desire to bridge gaps between data engineers and data scientists by including data scientists on this meetup agenda, and data engineers on the data science meetup agenda. We think that would be a good thing in general, but most of all it is always fun to close gaps and build bridges.
The Meetup agenda is by default held in Swedish since this is a local group in Stockholm. This is to get more people willing to contribute, to discuss, ask questions etc. The information here is in english since everyone of course is welcome to join. A good place to practice swedish perhaps? :)
Oh, another important thing. This is a genuine community for experts or people very interested in Data Engineering. Networking to sell products and services or to recruit is not allowed in this community. This is important to retain the relevance of the community. We do have sponsors for meetups, but what sponsors present is always motivated by relevance to the audience, not to sell stuff. Meetup guests not respecting this code of conduct will be blocked from future meetups.
