What a fun annual tent camping trip and we have a group site! ⛺️
It doesn't get more beautiful then Tahoe, especially in the spring. Come join me... This trip will be limited to (12) adventurers but will be extended if we have people carpooling. Be sure to lock yourself in because this is a popular one.
We will be staying at D.L. Bliss campground 3 nights, just north of Emerald Bay. One of the top campgrounds in Tahoe. This camping trip will include 2 days of hiking. I have already booked & paid for this group site, so I expect payment to hold your spot. Info is below...
**Showers, restrooms, potable water and bear boxes are in our group site.
We should arrive after the check-in time of 2 pm. Set up camp and have a leisure evening as people roll in, make dinner and then enjoy our group time around the campfire.
Maybe a walk down to the beach at sunset if everyone arrives early enough. Yes, we are that close to Lake Tahoe.
Everyone will be responsible for their own food & drink.
*Friday plan: Breakfast. Then get ready to head out to our first hike to Maggie's Peak (one of my favorites). Only 4.5 miles but rated hard w/ 1800 elev gain. Stunning views at the top. We will then return to our camp or go down to the beach if weather is warm. It's time to just chill. The nights are always finished with a campfire and social time. Bring your favorite beverage. S'more fixin's will be provided.
*Saturday plan: Eat breakfast, then get ready to head out for our final day of hiking. This hike will be a bit longer at 7 miles but rated moderate w/ only 1,000ft elvg. The Rubicon Trail, right alongside Lake Tahoe and we will be walking to trailhead from our camp. Our plan on Saturday is to head out to a late lunch/early dinner after our hike. So... no need for Saturday night meal prep. We'll head back to camp and you can do what you please. Again, we will gather on our last night for friendship, campfire & s'mores.
**This will be an adult only trip & only for members, as it is very limited.
***PLEASE sign up only if you're able physically & mentally to do at least one day of the hikes planned. As this is a hiking group.
