RE: [bookclub-459] What's everyone reading?

It's the classic nature one by Peter Matthiessen. I'm only about a third through it. It's his journal when he was travelling in the Himalayas. Very good book, but I can't read it fast. I read a couple of his daily entries here and there.

I was very surprised my father even read that, as was he. He loves things like history, etc. so he did not think he would enjoy it at all, but he said it ended up being fascinating.

Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese, excellent.
The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker, excellent.
The Help by Kathryn Stockett, just started but seems promising.

Which Snow Leopard are you reading? I saw two on Amazon. At first I thought you were referring to The Far Pavilions by MM Kaye because that begins with a birth accompanied by the roar of a snow leaopard. I read that so long ago, I'd like to try it again. Had to check out a romance recommended by your dad's bible group, so I just downloaded Scarlet Thread to my Kindle.

I also just popped The Reader on my pile and want to start that soon. I think that's about it!

How about everyone else? Anything good, bad, great?

Terri
