CINCO DE MAYO Hiking, Eating, Camping, Fun all Weekend !!

GROUP CAMPING: FTA has the group site A at Starkey Park reserved for Friday May 1st thru Sunday May 3th. This is the group area we usually have for this event.
Tents & hammocks only, non electric group site, potable water on site, restrooms / showers are within walking distance. There is a bathroom with showers close by the group site.
You drive up to the site, walk in with your gear, drop it off, then park your vehicle out in the "corral", Camping $5.00 FTA member $10 nonFTA member to cover the cost of the group site.
Campground is very close to Publix and restaurants.
Saturday is our main event day. If just coming Saturday, there is no day use fee. Park in the corral, Look for the FTA Event signs.
FRIDAY EVENING--hot dogs, and fixings, Potluck bring something to share, NO campfire again this year or less we get rain! Please help out by bringing your own plate and utensils so more money can go to the trails.
SATURDAY -
\Two hikes are planned. A shorter 3 mile hike and a longer 6 mile hike. Stay tuned for location to meet and starting times.
Lunch share-a-meal: Mexican themed foodin celebration of Cinco de Mayo. 12:00ish at the group campground.
FTA will be furnishing taco meat, taco shells, hard shell and soft shell, meat, cheese, lettuce.. Please bring an item to share for the lunch. Please post in comments what you will bring so others can plan their items.
AFTERNOON: cornhole, bike ride, nap or another hike
EVENING: Night hike and setting around the light of a "fire"
SUNDAY MORNING BREAKFAST--FTA will be providing eggs, bacon, bread, butter, please bring an item to share or an FTA donation! About 9:00-ish at the primitive group site. Bring your own coffee cup, plate and silverware so more money is left for the trails.
Many will take a hike or a bike ride.
