Join us for a refreshing Sunday in Spa, the legendary town that gave its name to all spas around the world! We’ll blend nature, culture, and relaxation in one beautiful day: a scenic hike through forests and valleys, a visit to the charming Musée de la Lessive, and for those who wish, a relaxing moment at the Thermes de Spa overlooking the hills.

### Cultural & Historical Angle
Spa’s story reflects Europe’s first wellness culture, where royalty, philosophers, and travelers came to “take the waters.” As we hike the ExtraTrail Blue Circuit (10 km, +370 m), we’ll follow ancient forest paths once used by early visitors seeking healing springs.
Later, at the Musée de la Lessive, we’ll step into the world of the washerwomen whose craft shaped Spa’s social history - a microcosm of labor, gender, and industry in the 19th century.
And for those ending at the Thermes, it’s a living continuation of that same tradition of well-being.

### Itinerary / Activity Plan
- 08:45 Meet at Brussels Central Station - train departs 09:01 to Verviers then bus to Spa.
- 12:00 - 15:00 Hike ExtraTrail Blue Circuit (10 km, moderate level)
- 15:00 - 16:00 Optional visit to the Musée de la Lessive (€5)
- 16:00 - 19:00 Optional Thermes de Spa session (3 h pass, from €25)

### How to Get There
Meet at Brussels Central Station (main hall) before 08:45. We’ll take the direct train to Verviers then a bus to Spa.

### Dress Code / What to Bring
- Hiking shoes (trail may be muddy)
- Small backpack, water, and picnic lunch / snacks
- Swimsuit + towel if joining the Thermes
### Fee & Membership
■ €5 coordination contribution (transfer to UJAMAA ASBL // free for Voyager and Ambassador members)
