Heritage House | 8193 Magnolia Ave., Riverside
Step back in time and experience the spirit of a traditional Victorian Christmas one would have seen in the 1890s.
This family-friendly celebration features Father Christmas; a unique range of musical entertainment which includes caroling, authoharps, dulcimers, bagpipes, and a barbershop quartet; home-baked sweets; and hot-mulled cider.
Fresh-cut greens, handmade wreaths, and mistletoe will adorn the home and one can enjoy making holiday ornaments.
About Heritage House:
Owned by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, this 1891 Victorian showplace depicts life in turn-of-the century Riverside. An elegant reminder of the affluent homes which once graced Magnolia Avenue, Heritage House began as a project of the Riverside Museum Associates, a volunteer support group of the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. Restored and maintained in a manner reflective of its nineteenth-century construction, this grand house is now a meticulously researched example of historic tastes, values, and lifestyle.
An optional Sunday brunch is scheduled before this event at El Torito off the 91 and Wier Canyon in YL.
