Ed is doing us all a favor by organizing events which we may all attend or not as we wish. He is doing this on his own time at his own expense really just to be nice. In return he deserves appreciation and praise. There is zero excuse for communicating any other sentiments to him. Not everyone is going to care for the events, the rules, the people, whatever. Those people are free to not impose on Ed further by withdrawing.

Again as the leader and a previous law professional, I urge you to act a bit more professionally. We're all adults here, lets try and act like it.

First of all, my career is none of your business. But I retired very successfully over a year ago.  I am no longer heavyset and I run this meet up group.
Since you received the email at midnight, that means you were in front of your computer at the time or it would have been waiting for you in the morning.
Further, since you are apparently not smart enough to restrict the messages in the set up feature of this meet up, I will do it for you. I am removing you from the group.
Now go insult someone else.

Are you the Dennis Hull who owns Randy's Transmission & Repairs? Maybe try not to be a jackass in a group of hundreds of people.

If he is indeed the owner of Randy's Transmission and Repair, perhaps we can all reward his personality by not shopping there and telling all of our friends about the kind of person who would be servicing their vehicles.

I have run this group since our founder and my friend, Andrew Badera, turned over the reins to me in 2009.  I have tried and will continue to try to provide our Members with quality events at discount prices.  I do this on my own time and at my own expense.  I have never and will never ask any member for donations to defray the Membership dues Meetup.com charges. I have refused offers from members who wanted to contribute.  But I will not tolerate Hull's kind of behavior.  It is unfair to the entire group to put up with this kind of attitude when we are here to have fun, meet people and enjoy dining together.

Thank you all for being a part of this Meetup group.  I look forward to seeing you at our events and hearing from you if you have any suggestions on how to make this group better.
