WatchKit is out, and many of us are wearing Apple watches and thinking up things to do with them. We're going to dig into that with Intuit engineer and WatchKit expert Kristina Thai (https://twitter.com/kristinathai), who's preparing a tutorial on WatchKit. She's planning to take us through the creation of a simple counter app for the Apple Watch, and share some tips, tricks, and pitfalls that she's learned along the way.
We'll follow that with a couple of demos and short presentations about WatchKit apps that others from the meetup community have already created.
Abey Mullassery (https://twitter.com/abeymm) will show us a mobile banking app that he built for the Apple Watch. (more details coming soon)
Ramin Firoozye (https://twitter.com/raminf) will show us the app he built for Onewheel (http://rideonewheel.com), a motorized one-wheel skateboard that always draws a crowd of onlookers. The Onewheel watch app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/onewheel/id946642160?mt=8) lets riders monitor their battery status and speed and adjust the performance characteristics of their Onewheel while they ride.
