The Silicon Valley MySQL July Meetup

  • Jul 9, 2007 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Timothy Kay will give a presentation about an architecture he designed for a client. In his own words:

"I'll present the architecture that I designed for one of my clients. The
system collects data from thousands of cell phones and matches the data
acoustically with reference data that is collected via a different process.
The requirements include data integrity but not high availability, so I was
able to compromise in a way that significantly reduced cost and complexity."

Meetups are held at Google Headquarters in Mountain View.

You can find driving directions to Google HQ here:

A map of the campus is here:

Upon arriving, at the campus, let security know that you are here for the monthly MySQL Meetup at Building 43. Park in any available above-ground parking space.

After parking, head to Building 43 reception area to pick up your visitor badge, where you will be directed to the meeting room.

!!! NOTE !!!

Interesting to see actual implementation and mySQL problematics in a real project. Good speaker. Could be more humble, but it was an interesting topic.

I learnt a couple of things from Tim's presentation and had a really interesting discussion with him after. Well worth it.
