When I started this group, I had no idea how much I would look forward to our monthly events. And judging by the number of regulars who attend, I'd say I'm not alone. Come join us for our next swap meetup and find out why we love swapping!
Newcomers often ask, "What shall I bring?" My answer: Anything you no longer want that another gal might be able to use. Examples:
Towels and bedding
Home decor and household goods
Pantry and household items
Clothing and shoes
Purses, jewelry, belts, accessories
CDs, DVDs, games
Books and magazines
Craft and hobby items
You'll get half of a 3-foot table to display your items. (Clothing can be hung separately on our clothing rack.) You'll get one ticket for each item you bring - up to 30 items. Your tickets are your currency for swapping.
When you arrive, claim some table space as yours, set it up and come tell me or DJ how many items you brought with you to get your tickets. Also please get a name badge. Then you'll be given some blue painter's tape and sharpie marker to "tag" the items others have brought that you would like to have. It's okay if there's already a tag on the item; you can still tag it. That means we'll have a bidding war and that's really fun!
Please bring a snack or appetizer to share. I'll bring cold beverages and also provide plates, plastic ware, and napkins.
Set up: 7:00-7:15
Shop, mingle & eat 7:15-7:30
Swap starts at 7:30 sharp and we're usually done around 8:30
Looking forward to another fun evening!
NOTE: Meetup fee is $2 per person to cover the cost of the room and Organizer's monthly fees.
Many thanks to D.J. for assisting me with the swap process and keeping it moving along. Thanks also to Kristina who often stays behind to help us pack up the stuff swappers leave behind to be donated. And a big thanks to Larissa for taking everything to The Salvation Army for us!
