Open parks have been my best place so far to stargaze in London, so I vote here!
Bring binoculars (if you have more than one, non-zoom ones are best for astronomy with larger objective lenses - at the far end from your eyes). If you have a good pair, and a tripod and can attach them, bring that.
Bring telescope(s) if you have them, obv. tripod to go with.
If you have a red-light torch, they are better than regular torches to bring as they don't ruin your night vision so much.
Expected format of meet much like the Baker-Street-Irregular-Astronomers ones in Regent's Park - hang, watch, some set up telescopes, wait for any cloud to clear, chat, ask Q's about types of telescopes if you're interested in buying...
There's plenty of space in the car park there, and a bus stop for the 319 and 249 from Tooting Bec tube right next to the entrance on Tooting Bec Rd
If the first meet has >3 of us attending it'll go ahead short of terrible weather... you'll see on the early evening of 23rd at the latest if I plan to cancel it (if not before). Otherwise, it's on!
