Our last football game was rained out so we have decided to schedule another game of touch football and picnic for Sunday, November 21, at 2:00 in the Domain. This will be our Pre-Thanksgiving Football game so we do hope you can join.
There is no skill required to play - previous games have been fairly laid back and have been more about meeting new people, enjoying the great weather, and having fun. Along those lines, even if you are not a Yankee, but are interested in giving American Football a go, you are more than welcome as well!
For those who don't want to play, but still want to come out and enjoy a day in the park, we'll be combining the game with a picnic. Bring your favorite snack food and/or something to drink - enough for you and a mate, and we'll share. Don't forget your camp/lawn chair and/or a picnic blanket!
We'll be on the field that sits over the Domain car park, immediately next to the NSW art gallery (right behind the St. Marys Cathedral). If you are not quite sure where the field is or how to get there, feel free to email me at [masked] and I can give you more detailed directions. Also, if you are unable to find us on the day of the game, you can call me at[masked] or Keith at[masked] ([masked])
The game will start shortly after 2:00 PM….at the end of the game we'll walk a few blocks over to the Tilbury for a few beverages. For those of you who are unable to make it to the game but would like to meet up afterwards, we should be getting to the Tilbury around 4 or so.
Please note that if it is raining, we will likely cancel or move to a meetup indoors (we will send out an updated message closer to the date)
If for any reason, the fields above the Domain Car Park are Closed, we will still meet there and likely move to Hyde Park (north) to play.
For those who can't make it for the Football game on the 21st, we hope you will be able to join us on Thursday, November 25 at 6 pm for our Thanksgiving Day Potluck Picnic on Bronte Beach. Please do RSVP for that event on the Sydney Expat American Meetup Group home page and spread the word.
Hope to see all of you on Sunday, November 21.
