We're in. Our credentials are:

Keith -WI/TX origin - has played softball at some point
Barb - MI/TX origin - have a varsity letter in softball (but I have to
admit - those were very easy to come by - and I'm 20 years older,
pregnant now and a lot slower)

Food - We can pull off a pot of chili. But unfortunately, I don't
think we'll be able to come up with the big orange jug from McDonalds
full of McD's orange drink. Oh...but we could bring the bag of sliced
oranges!!!

Equipment - nadda. However, we're heading back to the states for a
couple weeks over easter - we'll try to smuggle back in a mit.

Get lost Sam. Any from North Carolina who cant play softball
and specializes in deviled eggs is probably a UNC Tarheels fan.

  Hey,

Names Sam from North Carolina. Can I come even if I suck
at softball??! Excited! I can also make old fashioned lemonade,
deviled eggs
and maybe some slaw, southern style...

I think its fun to play at Centennial, and im sure $4 or $5 is a
reasonable
price. I think Centennial would be great for a BBQ as well. Perhaps
we could
all arrange to bring some food for a BBQ as well, after the game

My Fellow Americans and Wannabes :-),

I'm trying to organize a softball outing sometime soon. Centennial
Parklands

has a few softball diamonds, which we could use on late weekend
afternoons

after the organized groups (as distinguished from US), finish playing.

There's an application fee and a hire fee, totalling about $60 for 2
hours of
  play.

  So:

  1) who's interested in playing?

  2) are you willing to pay $4 or $5 to cover the diamond hire?

  3) what equipment do you have?

I've got an aluminum bat and 2 softballs, and a glove that I could
lend out
  when

  my side is at-bat.

If the fee is too high, we could look for a free venue (are we
allowed to
  play softball in

  The Domain?).

  Let me know ...
