Modern American cuisine in Sydney? You bet!

Hey guys, there's a new restaurant at 238 Crown Street in Darlinghurst called Jazz City Diner. It serves New Orleans-influenced, modern American food in a classy diner setting. Mains are $15-25 and the menu includes massive burgers like the Texas Chilli Cheese burger (your choice of fries or onion rings!), a selection of sliders (mini burgers), gumbo, coke-brased bbq beef shortribs, chicken and waffles, blackened snapper with hush puppies, fried green tomato salad, pecan pie, and milkshakes. Dan McGuirt, The Head Chef and Owner, is originally from the States and one of his big priorities is catering to guests, so if you have special requests (corn bread, shrimp and grits, vegetarian) just call ahead and he'll take care of you:02 9332 2903. I ate there recently and left VERY satisfied, so I wanted to spread the word!
