Group Running – corner Oxford/College at 8am
If you're running in the blue group (8:15 start) and would like to run with others meet by latest 8am (for 8:30 start) on the corner of College and Oxford/Liverpool by the canon in the edge of Hyde Park (or opposite corner of intersection by AUSPOST if closed off). Dress in your patriotic colours so the group can be identified and look for me in American flag shorts and flag cape. If there are enough of us there will likely be someone running at the same pace as you, but if/when you get separated meet the rest of the group at the finish.

If you're an unofficial runner just try to run anyway. If you get caught they'll only kick you out…go a few blocks down and join the run again. There's no way they'll stop you in the middle of the pack while you're running.

The run will take approximately 100 minutes (55 if you're Henrik and 135 if you walk the whole way) and you'll finish around 9:30-11am.

After Party in Bondi
There will be 85,000 energetic runners celebrating in bondi creating a festive vibe. This is the one time of the year that you can sort of get away with drinking beer on bondi beach even though it's technically illegal (be somewhat discreet and no glass). Worst case will likely be a pour-out and not a fine. We can buy a couple cases of cheap canned beer from the Nirvana bottle shop in North Bondi.

Plan A – meet in the grass behind the skate park from 10am
10am - Meet 10 meters into the grass directly behind the skateboard park in South Bondi. Look for my American flag.
Hang around there and enjoy the vibe until it dies down (maybe 2pm) and we feel like a venue change then we'll either go to a bar or up to our friend Ayman's apartment 6/166 Ramsgate Ave, North Bondi depending on how things are going at the time.

Plan B – Beach by CBA tent if the grass by skate park is blocked off
10am – meet on the beach 10 meters in front of the Commonwealth Bank tent and continue with plan A.

Plan C – If it rains meet at Ayman's
10am – meet at Ayman's apartment 6/166 Ramsgate Ave, North Bondi and then we'll head to a bar around 2pm or whenever we feel like a change of venue.

There are lots of corporate tents where you can often sneak some free food without being associated with the group. Try your luck or grab something from the strip and picnic with the group.

Dress warm/dry
Even if it's sunny it'll probably get a bit chilly sitting out by the beach so make sure you bring a jacket, sunscreen, and a blanket/towel to sit on might be nice.

How to get your stuff to the finish
There's an official service that will transport a bag of clothes, etc to the finish line for registered runners, but you have to drop it off by 7:30am.
Alternatively you can give your stuff to one of our friends who live in Bondi in advance.

There are free showers in the pavilion (middle of the beach) and I hear they're not too busy. If you're nice you may also be able to use the apartment of one of our bondi friends.

See you at the finish,

El Guapo

(although useless with jammed mobile towers)
