Async AWS and Webpack Encore
Details
Although lockdown might be lifting for some people, we're making sure the Symfony bus keeps running for everybody all the same with our third online special.
This time we're extremely lucky to welcome not one, but two members of the Symfony core team to our meetup in what promises to be an exciting evening.
Async AWS
Kicking off, Tobias Nyholm will introduce us to Async AWS; a faster, lighter, and cleaner implementation of the PHP SDK for AWS. This will be Tobias' first presentation of the project, so we're extremely lucky to be the first audience for what will, no doubt, be an interesting and educational talk!
Are you one of those people that like the Amazon PHP SDK but hate the fact that you need to download Guzzle, PSR-7 and every AWS API client to use it? If so, then this is the talk for you!
Tobias is a software entrepreneur and has spent many years working within the web development ecosystem. He is a Symfony core team member, organizer of Swedish PHP meetups, co-host of the Sound of Symfony podcast and a public speaker. He has also written for php[architect], SitePoint, and is a certified Symfony developer.

Symfony, Webpack Encore & Modern JavaScript
After the raffle, Ryan Weaver will help us face our fear of frontend and demystify the beast of integrating modern Javascript with Symfony, in his presentation "Symfony, Webpack Encore & Modern JavaScript".
What's the latest with modern JavaScript, Symfony & Webpack? In this talk, Ryan will give an intro to modern JavaScript, module loading & packing it all together with Webpack Encore. We'll also learn other tricks like async imports, and how to choose between a frontend framework for your app and server-side HTML augmented with modern JavaScript.
Ryan's work on Webpack Encore has bridged the gap between Symfony and modern front-end development, making getting running with full-stack systems a breeze.
Ryan is a Teacher, trainer, speaker of PHP and Drupal, and a Symfony advocate. He is the documentation lead for the Symfony Framework, writer for SymfonyCasts, and an avid supporter of open source as the best tool to solve grave business problems.
