Introduce Yourself

Having studied and worked in Leeds the past 4 years, I have recently moved back to my hometown in Norfolk and am now settled in as a Front End Dev at Tipsy & Tumbler.

What are your skills / experience

In July 2013 I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2.1 in New Media (BA). Front end dev creating interactive, accessible and responsive websites using HTML5 and SASS/SCSS. I also have experience developing with Wordpress, Expression Engine, Cart Throb and Magento. Keen to influence the new cohort of students and introduce them to the creative industry, I also taught 2 modules at the UoL: Design for New Media and Interface Design. I taught the students fundamental design principles using Adobe software (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop predominantly) including grid systems, typography and vector graphics, and how to optimise these for the web, as well as building their skills in HTML5 and CSS3. In April 2014 I was fortunate enough to attend the Future of Web Design conference in London, which acted as a catalyst in my drive to learn new coding languages and make myself a more efficient web developer.

Who would you like to meet

Like-minded people/inspiring members of the creative industry/networking
