 s an option to stop at the Beach Tavern for dinner if folks are interested
 .\n\nPlease be courteous to the group and host. If you signed up\, but fin

  easy walk for most folks.\n* Mileage is just under 2 miles and flat.\n* T
 he walking surface is pavement along our beautiful waterfront.\n* You can 
 turn around and end your walk early if you need. No judgement\, just suppo
 rt.\n* The route is ADA compliant.\n\n**What the host as is that you don't
  be a "No Show".**\n**If you can't attend\, please change your RSVP\, beca

 oma\, Washington 98407**.\nParking is available on residential streets.\nB
 ring a flashlight or headlamp.\n\n**Walk options:**\nWe can walk into Poin
 t Defiance Park and cross the Wilson Bridge. From there\, we will walk to 
 Point Ruston and back. 2.75 miles and 215 feet of elevation gain and loss.
 \n\nDuring low tides\, we have the option to walk into Point Defiance Park
  and down to the Marina and walk to Owens Beach and back.\n2.50 miles and 
 less than 100 feet of elevation gain and loss.\n\nPlease be courteous to t
 he host by changing your RSVP status if you will not be able to attend. Th
 e host will wait for all who signed up for 5 minutes.

 arina where we can window shop for yachts. There are opportunities to take
  pictures. The walk weaves over boardwalks and paved paths for 3 miles rou
 nd trip in a protected harbor.\n\nMeet at the Globe under the flag pole ne
 ar the water.\nThe address takes you to the Rock the Dock building\, but h
 ead to the other end of the building to find the park and free parking lot

  can't think of a better way to experience the beauty of Washington!\n\nPl

 nOur next trip will be to Fort Flagler Historical State Park\n\n**Park and
  Trail Description:**\n\n*Fort Flagler State Park is a public recreation a
 rea that occupies the site of Fort Flagler\, a former United States Army f
 ort. The state park occupies 1\,451 acres south of the entrance to Admiral
 ty Inlet. [Port Townsend](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Townsend) is 
 visible to the northwest\, and [Whidbey Island](https://en.wikipedia.org/w
 iki/Whidbey_Island) to the east across Admiralty Inlet.\n- We will take th
 e Bluff Trail and wander through the historic battery stations. We will fo
 llow the trail to the campgrounds where we will turn around.\n*Dress in la
 yers bluff can get quite windy and cold.\n- After the hike\, we will stop 
 at the Valley Tavern just outside of the park.\n\n**Pay stations:** This p
 ark is equipped with automated pay stations for visitors to purchase a one
 -day or annual Discover Pass and boat launch permit.\n\n**What to bring:**
 \n• water\n• snacks and/or lunch\n• walking shoes or boots\n• pers
 onal first aid kit\n• sunscreen/sun protection\, e.g. hat\, sun shirt\n
 • a spirit of adventure\n• Discover Pass\n\n**Hike Data:**\n• Length
 : 3.5+ miles round trip.\n• Elevation gain: approximately 200 feet\n• 
 Discover Pass required. There is a ranger station at the entrance of the c
