Please wear adequate footwear and bring trail snacks and plenty of water for you and your dog. This is a a moderate loop hike on the Wild Burro, Alamo Springs and Lower Javelina Trails: approximately 6 miles in length and 1700 ft elevation change. We will meet at the Wild Burro Trailhead. Hike time should be approximately 3.5 hours for average hikers. Meetup.com charges organizers dues of $12.00 per month - contributions of $1 per hike help me cover this cost and are greatly appreciated.

Wild Burro Trailhead: From W Tangerine Rd go north on N Dove Mountain Blvd. Take the first right right at the traffic circle onto N Secret Springs Drive. Stop at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain gate and tell them you are hiking, continue to the trailhead on your right. Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time.

Really loved the hike even though I could not keep up. Our dogs were in heaven, and my son enjoyed every minute - he is eager to continue with the group. Thanks, Everyone!

Sorry to miss this one too but we have "after storm" issues to take care of.

My son is bringing his terrier and I'll have my German mix. This is our first time coming: I usually volunteer at a shelter on Sundays.

Hope this isn't a faux pas but HandiDogs will have a table at the MS walk next Sat 3/8 @ Reid Park. You can support the cause for MS and walk with your canine companion.

Wish I could go. Still nursing a bad quad injury so only level hiking. Conor sends his best.
