  • Player's House

Hey guys, I am the Dungeon Master for my D&D group. We have been play-testing 5th edition, or D&D Next for 6 months. One of our Six players have backed out because of scheduling conflicts.

One spot is open at our table.

Were located in South Lakeland off County Line Rd and Shepherd Rd (10mins from I-4, 5mins from Hwy 60),

**UPDATE** 02/19/[masked]:14pm One Open spot was filled.

Please keep an eye on my Forum post for group status availability.  Feel free to shoot me a message, I'll definitely get back with you in a timely matter!

Today was the first time I have dealt with a total split the party. Everyone failed to work together, and did there own thing. I as the DM kept trying to bring them together and work it out, but it came down to everyone needing a session to pull a ground hog day! Despite there negativity and unwillingness to work it out, everyone did come around and put there collective energies together and worked it all out.

Will made it out and rolled a new character, a Tiefling Bard. I feel bad for him, he saw us at our worst. However everyone including him could not stop laughing at everyone's foolishness and awesomeness in there choices! Instead of 1 of 5 stars I got to say its a 3 of 5, a successful failure = Successfully got them to put there collective thoughts and synergies together for a most excellent victory over a "ground hog day" encounter. Failed to keep the rules lawyering to a minimum and party kept circling the drain despite my attempts.

Despite the bad attitude of a player and the lack of teamwork, the party suffered a lot of hardship alone: Someone almost soloed a Tarrasque, two others falling down the same 500ft waterfall twice. Attempting to steal a 2ft wide, 1 1/2ft tall diamond. Lastly, refusing to help a party member in dire need while fighting the Tarrasque. Oh the Residuum bomb go off around the corner from them was the last thing the party did together. The explosion dealt 1/2 of 25d8 fire and thunder damage (dex save 18 for 1/4 damage) effect: all targets are deafened (con save 18 for blind 12 hours). .

Sounds awesome, but I work so 4pm on a Wednesday doesn't work for me in any campaign setting ;-). Good luck! How is 5e anyway? Is it better than 4e? It must surely be!!

What time do you get off, our table remains open if you want to show up at 5pm. 5e has a few different twists since It has 15 releases of playtest, however the last one released is so far my favorite. super balanced keeping players the feel of power and power gamers there flavor. Spells work like 3.5e!

Hey guys, occasionally we will either start early or end late. However this will not impact your character negatively if your not present or late to the game. Feel free to show up after we start!
